Moto S50 with MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, 120Hz LTPO OLED Display, IP68 Rating Launched

Motorola recently unveiled a new smartphone in China. The Moto S50 arrives as a capable mid-range smartphone with a versatile camera system, a capable chipset, fast wired and wireless charging support, and an LTPO OLED display.

Moto S50 Pricing, Color Options

The Moto S50 price in China starts from CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 26,000) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the handset is also offered in a 12GB/256GB configuration that will set you back CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 29,550).

The Moto S50 is offered in Persimmon Orange, Flora Blue, and Latte shades. It is worth noting that the Moto S50 shares the same specifications as the Motorola Edge 50 Neo that was unveiled globally last month. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is yet to get an official release date in India.

Moto S50 Specifications

The Moto S50 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Moto S50 also packs a 4,310 mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging support.

The Moto S50 sports a 6.36-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can also achieve a peak brightness of 3,000 nits, while a fingerprint sensor sits under the screen. Up front, the Moto S50 also boasts a 32MP selfie camera. The Moto S50 runs Android 14-based Hello UI.

For optics, the Moto S50 features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor that supports OIS. The main camera is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide lens that doubles as a macro shooter and a 10MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom. The Moto S50 also features an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.
