Moto X Play Launched In India For Rs 18,499: Check Out 10 Best Features Of The Smartphone

Lenovo owned Motorola has recently launched its third generation of Moto X smartphone in two variants: Moto X Style and Moto X Play, a month ago. Today the company has announced the Moto X Play smartphone to the India market.

The X Play is a Motorola's new generation model in its ‘X' series of smartphones, and was announced along with the Moto X Style. The Moto X Play is the company's phablet offering that has been placed in the mid-range segment, to take on the bigger-display smartphones from rival OEMs, including top players or domestic vendors.

The smartphone comes with water repellent coating, and enhanced features like Moto Voice, Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Actions. Here is all the detail features of the smartphone, take a look at the slider below to know more.

Display

The smartphone comes with a bigger 5.5 inch F-HD display at 1080x1920 pixels resolution that translates to 403ppi and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display is crystal clear and makes it one of the best in the market.

Processor And OS

The Moto X Play is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 Octa-core chipset, which is supported by the company's own Motorola Mobile Computing System, which takes the core-count to 10. The chipset is paired with Adreno 405 GPU, and gets support from 2GB of RAM and runs on Android Lollipop Operating System.

Camera

The Moto X Play flaunts a 21 megapixel primary camera which is supported with Color Correlated Temperature (CCT) flash with dual LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, and has features like Burst mode, night mode, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus), gesture based Quick capture, and HDR Video support. There is also a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

Design

The Moto X Play has not changed much from its predecessor, but it got slightly tweaked and refined, sporting a bigger screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone has a great build quality and feels very comfortable in hand.

Storage

The smartphone is available in two internal storage models: 16GB and 32GB.

Water Resistance

The Moto X phone also boasts advanced nano-technology feature that essentially works like a protective water repellent layer which protects the phone against moderate water exposure and accidental damages

Battery

The Moto X Play comes with a bigger 3630mAh battery that is claimed to work for two days under mixed usage without needing another charge.

Connectivity

The smartphone comes with host of connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11(dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The Moto X Play will be available at Rs. 18,499 for 16GB model and Rs. 19,999 for 32GB model exclusively on Flipkart with multiple launch offers starting today.
