Motorola Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2 Launched With Shatterproof Display And 21-MP Camera
Information regarding the new Droid handsets has surfaced on the Web. The new Droid handsets which include the Moto Droid Turbo 2 and the Droid Maxx 2 are expected to launch at Motorola and Verizon's joint event just a few hours away. A leaked Verizon document has revealed a major feature of the devices.

Both the new handsets will feature water-repellent nano-coating. The feature, has been used on several Motorola handsets, making the phones resistant enough to withstand occasional splashes of water, and remain unaffected by a drizzle or a light rain. However, it is essential to note that the device is not fully water resistant and the exterior can only save the handset from minor slip-ups. The company has used an improvised version of a similar technique in the Moto G third edition which comes with an IPX7 certification.
"Like Droid Turbo 2, the Droid Maxx 2 offers a water-repellent nano-coating found currently on its Droid devices; this keeps customers devices protected during unexpected spills," reads the leaked document, and has been shared by Phonearena.
In the last month or so, several details of the Droid series have surfaced on the internet. Verizon Wireless recently stated on its website that the Turbo 2 will be powered by a battery that can run upto 48 hours, a "shatterproof" display. The phone most likely supports faster charging, giving it a 13 hour battery life in a charging time of about 15 minutes.
Images, brochures and leaked promotional material of the handsets revealed the specifications and intricate details of the handsets. The Droid Turbo 2 is expected to sport a 5.43-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 810 SoC (MSM8994), 3GB of RAM. The device is available in two storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, as appeared in reports. It is most likely that the handset will come with a 21-megapixel and 5-megapixel camera sensors on the rear and the front. Motorola will also offer users with the ability to customise the design of the new Droid Turbo 2 as well as Droid Maxx 2 handsets to the best possible. The user customization is available through the Moto Maker program.
The Droid Maxx 2 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD with 1920x1080 of display. It is powered by Snapdragon 615 SoC with 16GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone will be available in two colors viz. Deep Sea with Blue back and a White with Winter White back.
While Motorola is yet to officially announce details, some of the rumored specifications seem to have quite caught up well with Motorola Fans.
