Motorola Edge 40 Launching Today: Everything You Need to Know
The Motorola Edge 40 is set to launch on 23rd May 2023. Ahead of the official launch, Flipkart has already set up a microsite detailing the specs and features of the upcoming phone. Here's everything you need to know.
Motorola Edge 40: Specs & Features
The Motorola Edge 40 comes with a large 6.55-inch pOLED display that has a 144Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The screen provides a high-end viewing experience with its peak brightness of 1200 nits and support for HDR10+. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Powering the Motorola Edge 40 is a new MediaTek 8020 chipset, accompanied by 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It is equipped with a 4400mAh battery, and Motorola claims that the included charger can recharge it in approximately 10 minutes, thanks to the 68W fast charging technology. Additionally, the phone supports 15W wireless charging and offers stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support for an enhanced audio experience.

In terms of optics, there is a 32MP front-facing sensor for selfies and a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The phone will come in three striking hues: Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, and Lunar Blue. The Nebula Green and Eclipse Black options actually have a vegan leather finish while the acrylic glass finish is found only in the Lunar Blue colorway.

On the software front, the Motorola Edge 40 runs on Android 13 out-of-the-box with the company's embellishments on top.
Motorola Edge 40: Price & Pre-Order
Motorola inadvertently displayed a banner revealing the price of the Motorola Edge 40. The smartphone will be available at ₹27,999, and pre-orders will commence on May 23rd. Additionally, customers can opt for a no-cost EMI plan, with the lowest installment starting at ₹5,000 per month. Although the banner is no longer visible on Flipkart, 91Mobiles captured a screenshot as confirmation.
