Motorola Edge 40 Spotted on Geekbench With 8GB RAM and Dimensity 1100 Chipset
The Motorola Edge 40 has appeared on Geekbench, equipped with what seems to be a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 processor. The Edge 40 is expected to be a watered-down version of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, which debuted earlier this month.
Although it's unclear when the Motorola Edge 40 will be launched, we can expect it to arrive soon. Design renders of the upcoming smartphone were leaked recently, revealing key details about the Edge 40.

Motorola Edge 40 Arrives on Geekbench
The Motorola Edge 40, spotted on Geekbench by Pricebaba, will be powered by an MT6891Z processor, an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1100. This contradicts past reports that suggested that the Edge 40 will be equipped with a Dimensity 8020 processor.
The Motorola Edge 40 was seen on Geekbench with 8GB RAM. When it comes to the operating system, it will boot Android 13 out of the box, which will likely feature My UX 5.0 on top.
As for the Geekbench score, the smartphone scored 1105 points in the single-core test and bagged 3542 points in the multi-core test.
Motorola Edge 40 Rumored Features
The Motorola Edge 40 is expected to sport a 6.55-inch pOLED panel. It may feature a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Additionally, the smartphone could support HDR10+ and a peak brightness of 1200 nits.
Regarding the optics, the Motorola Edge 40 will reportedly get dual cameras at the back. It could include a 50MP primary camera with OIS support and an f/1.5 aperture. It will be paired with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. At the front, it will have a 13MP selfie shooter.
A recent leak suggests that the Motorola Edge 40 will pack a 4,400mAh battery with support for 68W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and 8W reverse charging. The device will likely get an on-screen fingerprint sensor for security.
