The Motorola Edge 50 has officially made its debut in India as the fourth smartphones in the Edge 50 series. The Motorola Edge 50 arrives in the country sub-30K segment, sitting in between the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Pro.
Motorola's latest mid-range smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon chipset, a super-smooth OLED display, a triple-camera setup, clean software, wired and wireless fast charging support, and a stylish yet rugged design. Here' an in-depth look at the vanilla Moto Edge 50.

Motorola Edge 50 Price, Offers in India
The Motorola Edge 50 price in India is set at Rs 27,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB model. Customers using IDFC First Bank and Axis Bank credit cards can get a flat discount of Rs 2,000 on the Edge 50, while an extra Rs 2,000 exchange offer is also available for those who don't use the bank discounts.
The Motorola Edge 50 is set to go on sale in India via Flipkart, Motorola.in, and other partner retailers from August 8 at 12 noon IST. The Motorola Edge 50 is offered in Jungle Green, Koala Grey, and Peach Fuzz color options.
The Motorola Edge 50's back panel comes in your choice of vegan leather (green and peach) or vegan suede (grey), while Gorilla Glass 5 protection is offered on the front. The Edge 50 also offers MIL-810H Military Grade durability. It also features an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.

The vanilla Edge 50 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition chipset, which is tailored to unlock AI-powered experiences. The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It runs Android 14 out of the box with Motorola promising three years of OS updates and four years of regular security patches.
The vanilla Edge 50 sports a 6.67-inch p-OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,900 nits and a 1.5K resolution. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The panel supports HDR10+ content and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. The display is SGS Blue Light Reduction and SGS Motion Blur Reduction certified.
For optics, the Motorola Edge 50 arrives with a triple-camera setup that is made up of a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C primary sensor with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom and OIS support. Up front, the Edge 50 features a 32MP selfie camera with AF. Both front and rear cameras on the Edge 50 support 4K video recording.
Motorola's latest mid-range smartphone packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging support. The phone packs dual-stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and an in-display fingerprint reader. Connectivity options on the phone include 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, GPS, Glonass, NFC, and more.
