Motorola Edge 50 Launching Today at 12 PM in India; Expected Price and Features We Know So Far

Motorola is all set to launch another Edge series device dubbed the Edge 50 today (August 1) in India. The upcoming smartphone will join the existing Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 50 Ultra models.

The Flipkart listing has revealed the detailed features of the upcoming Motorola Edge 50. The handset will be MIL-STD 810H-certified and launched with a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 1900 nits peak brightness, and 100% DCI P3 colour gamut.

The Motorola Edge 50 is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE chipset paired with a vapour chamber for optimal cooling and up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. On the software front, it will run Android 14 OS and come with three years of OS updates and four years of regular security patches.

Moreover, the device will pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. For imaging, the Motorola Edge 50 will have a triple-rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony-LYT 700C primary sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens. Up front, it will feature a 32MP selfie camera. It will also feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Alongside, the Flipkart listing has confirmed the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 will be offered in Jungle Green (Vegan Leather), Pantone Peach Fuzz (Vegan Leather), and Koala Green (Vegan Suede) shades.
