If rumours are to be believed, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will go official next month. The handset will be the successor of the Edge 40 Pro, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a triple rear camera setup, 165Hz refresh rate, and much more.
The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to arrive as the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra in China and as the Moto Edge+ 2024 in the US. The leaked renders of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro revealed the smartphone will arrive in black, purple, and white colour options.
The lock screen of the phone displays the date April 3, hinting at the launch. As per the leaked renders, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will come with a curved display with minimal bezels.
There will also be a punch-hole cutout to house the front camera. The volume and power buttons are seen on the right edge, while the USB Type-C charging port will be on the bottom edge. At the rear panel, the phone will have a rectangular camera module housing three camera sensors along with an LED flash unit.
In terms of features, the upcoming Motorola phone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with 12GB RAM. The handset will likely include a 50MP main lens with OIS support, an ultrawide lens and another telephoto camera.
The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.7-inch OLED curved display with support for a 165Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to ship with Android 14 OS and a 4500 mAh battery 125W charging and 50W wireless charging.
