Motorola Edge 50 Full Specifications Confirmed Ahead of August 1 Launch Date in India
Motorola is gearing up to launch the fourth smartphone in its Edge series. The Motorola Edge 50 will follow the launch of the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro, and Edge 50 Ultra.

The Motorola Edge 50 launch date in India is set for August 1. Following its launch, the handset will be available for purchase through Motorola.in, Flipkart and other retail partners.
We believe, the Motorola Edge 50 will sit between the Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Pro, in India's sub-30K smartphone segment. The vanilla Edge 50 also comes in Jungle Green (Vegan Leather), Pantone Peach Fuzz (Vegan Leather), and Koala Green (Vegan Suede) shades.

Motorola's upcoming mid-range smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE SoC to unlock "AI Powered Experiences". The phone will also come with a vapor chamber for optimal cooling and up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will run Android 14 out of the box with Motorola promising three years of OS updates and four years of regular security patches.
The handset is confirmed to pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. The vanilla Edge 50 will also sport a 6.67-inch 1.5K p-OLED display with a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The Motorola Edge 50 will also debut as the slimmest smartphone with MIL-810H Military-grade certification.
For optics, the Motorola Edge 50 boasts a triple-rear camera setup including a 50MP Sony-LYT 700C primary sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto unit with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the Edge 50 opts for 32MP selfie camera. It is also confirmed to feature an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.
