Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Launching in India at 12 noon Today: Check Expected Price, Full Specifications

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is set to make its debut in India later today. To recall, the Edge 50 Ultra made its global debut earlier this year and is the third smartphone in the line-up to arrive in India, following the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Neo.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to fall in the country's flagship killer segment, where it will take on the likes of the Xiaomi 14 CIVI and Vivo V30 Pro. Apart from top-of-the-line specifications, the Edge 50 Ultra is also touted to offer several AI features to enhance the user experience.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Launch in India

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is launching in India later today at 12 noon (IST). Following its launch, the Edge 50 Ultra will go on sale in India through Flipkart. We expect the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra price in India to start from under Rs 50,000.

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will be the first smartphone in India to feature a wooden back panel. While the Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz variants use a vegan leather back panel, the Nordic Wood shade features a rear panel made of real wood.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Specifications

The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone also packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The Edge 50 Ultra runs Android 14-based Hello UX out of the box.

The Edge 50 Ultra also sports a curved 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a 1.5K (2,712 x 1,220 pixels) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The screen also supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The panel also supports HDR10+ and can reach a peak brightness of 2,500 nits.

On the back, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra opts for a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera with a large 1/1.3" sensor size, an f/1.6 aperture, and OIS support. The main camera is paired with a 64 MP telephoto-periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, a 72mm local length, and an f/2.4 aperture and a 50 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 lens.

Up front, there's a 50 MP selfie camera with AF. The Moto Edge 50 Ultra also packs stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking support. The Edge 50 Ultra features an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front. Motorola's upcoming flagship killer also boasts an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.
