Motorola Edge 60s Launch Date Set for May 8: Key Specifications Confirmed Ahead of Launch
The Motorola Edge 60s is set to debut in China on May 8. This launch will coincide with the introduction of the Motorola Edge 60 lineup and the Motorola Razr 60 foldable series, which were previously unveiled in select global markets. The company has disclosed details about the phone's design, colour options, RAM, and storage configurations.
The Motorola Edge 60s will feature a 6.7-inch pOLED curve-edge display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is anticipated to include a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C primary camera with OIS support and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. For selfies, a 32-megapixel front camera is expected.

Motorola Edge 60s Design and Specifications
The design of the Motorola Edge 60s resembles that of the existing Edge 60 series models. It features a slightly raised rectangular camera module on the back panel. The display has slim bezels with a centre-aligned hole-punch cutout at the top. The volume rocker and power button are located on the right side, while the bottom edge houses the SIM card slot, USB Type-C port, mic, and speaker grilles.
According to Motorola's Weibo post, the handset will be available in Glacier Mint, Misty Iris, and Polar Rose colour options (translated from Chinese). The phone will come in two configurations: 12GB RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Launch Details for Motorola's New Lineup
Alongside the Edge 60s, Motorola will also introduce other models such as the standard Motorola Edge and Edge 60 Pro variants. Additionally, foldable smartphones like the Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra will be launched on the same date as part of this lineup.
The device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC. It will likely have a battery capacity of 5,500mAh with support for both wired (68W) and wireless (15W) charging. The handset may measure approximately 8.2mm in thickness and weigh around 190g.
Additional Features and Build Details
The company has confirmed that the handset has IP68+IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Like other devices from Motorola, it is expected to support artificial intelligence (AI) features.
The official listing reveals that this model shares similarities with its predecessors in terms of design elements such as curved displays with uniform bezels. These features contribute to an appealing aesthetic while maintaining functionality. This upcoming release aims to expand Motorola's presence in China by offering advanced technology combined with stylish designs across various price points within their product range.
