Motorola Edge 70 Pro Launch Date in India and Full Specifications Confirmed Through Flipkart

Motorola is set to strengthen its mid-range Edge 70 series in India next week. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro will make its debut as the third phone in the series, following the Moto Edge 70 (Review) and Edge 70 Fusion. Moreover, the Edge 70 Pro is also set to debut as the most premium phone in the series.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro India Launch & Expected Price Range

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro launch date in India is set to take place on April 22. Following its launch, the Moto Edge 70 Pro will go on sale in India through Flipkart. The official Flipkart listing has also confirmed the specifications of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro.

But before we dive into those specs, it is worth noting that the Motorola Edge 70 Pro price in India is expected to start from under Rs 40,000. To recall, last year's Moto Edge 60 Pro fetched a starting price of Rs 29,999.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro Specifications

The Flipkart microsite for the Edge 70 Pro confirms it will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Extreme chipset paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The phone will also incorporate a 4600mm2 VC cooling area. It will pack a 6,500mAh silicon carbon battery with a 90W charger in the box.

On the front, the Edge 70 Pro will sport a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The handset will also pack stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The Edge 70 Pro will run on Android 16 with Motorola's Hello UI skin on top. Motorola promises three Android OS updates and five years of security patches with the Edge 70 Pro.

For optics, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro will feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with OIS and a variable focal range equivalent to 12mm-81mm. The Edge 70 Pro will also feature a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP front camera with autofocus. Motorola says the handset will support 4K video recording at 60fps across all camera lenses.

The Motorola Edge 70 will come in a premium satin-inspired finish in Pantone Tea, a fabric-style textured back in Pantone Titan, and a distinctive marble-like finish in a Pantone Lily White colourway. It will also feature Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front and an IP68/69 rating for resistance to dust and water.
