Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ with MTK Dimensity 8500 Extreme SoC, Four 50MP Cameras, IP68/69 Rating Launched in India

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has been unveiled in India as the fourth smartphone in the company's Edge 70 series. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ positions itself as a premium option that mixes strong camera hardware, a high-refresh display and long battery life with IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H protection.=

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ price in India is set at Rs 47,999 for the sole 12GB/256GB model. Motorola is offering buyers an instant cashback of Rs. 3,000 through eligible payment methods. Customers who prefer trading in an existing device can instead opt for an exchange bonus, depending on the handset being exchanged.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ will go on sale in India starting June 11 through Flipkart and the official Motorola India online store. It will be available in three Pantone-inspired finishes: Pantone Chicory Coffee, Pantone Stormy Sea and Pantone Zinfandel.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ focuses on a slim and lightweight design, measuring just 6.99mm at its thinnest point and weighing 190g. It introduces the "Collections by Motorola" lineup in India with Satin-Luxe, Sculpted Wood and Twill-inspired finishes. The phone features a 6.8-inch 1.5K Super HD+ Extreme AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, quad-curved design, 96.8% screen-to-body ratio and up to 5200 nits peak brightness. Pantone validation, Gorilla Glass 7i and Smart Water Touch support are also included.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset built on a 4nm process, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. A 4600mm² vapour chamber improves cooling, while connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB-C. Motorola also integrates motoAI 2.0 features, Google Photos AI editing tools and support for Gemini, Copilot and Perplexity.

For photography, the device combines a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom and 50x AI Super Zoom Pro, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with macro support. A 50MP autofocus front camera handles selfies and video calls. All cameras support 4K HDR video recording at 60fps, alongside features such as Horizon Lock, Adaptive Stabilization and Frame Match.

The Edge 70 Pro+ packs a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W wired and 15W wireless charging. Durability is a key highlight, with IP68/IP69 ratings and MIL-STD-810H certification. Running Android 16 with Hello UI, the device is promised three OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
