Motorola Edge 70 Ultra New Leak Reveals Triple 50MP Cameras And New Color Options

Motorola’s next Ultra smartphone could bring a familiar formula with a newer engine. After renders of the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra surfaced online recently, a fresh leak has now hinted at some of its key hardware details, including the chipset, display, and cameras.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Likely At The Core

According to Weibo tipster, the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. If true, this would mark a clear step up from the Edge 50 Ultra, which runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Display And Cameras: Subtle Changes

The leak suggests the Edge 70 Ultra will feature a 6.7-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and up to a 120Hz refresh rate. That’s slightly lower than the 144Hz panel on the previous model, though the overall screen size and resolution appear unchanged.

On the camera front, the phone is tipped to get a triple rear setup with three 50-megapixel sensors, covering the main, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto cameras. This would be a shift from the 64-megapixel telephoto used on the Edge 50 Ultra.

Design And Colours

Earlier leaked renders showed a textured rear panel and a square camera module placed at the top-left corner. The new leak adds that the phone may launch in black, green, and bronze colour options. Button placement appears largely unchanged, though there’s still some uncertainty around an extra button spotted on the left side.

Motorola hasn’t officially acknowledged the Edge 70 Ultra yet, so these details should be taken with caution. More clarity is expected as the launch window gets closer.
