Motorola could soon expand its G-series smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Motorola G Max. According to a recent leak, the company is expected to introduce the smartphone around August 15, targeting the competitive mid-range segment ahead of the festive shopping season.

While Motorola has yet to officially confirm the launch, the leaked details suggest the Indian variant will arrive with notable hardware changes compared to its global counterpart.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Motorola G Max could launch in India around August 15. Although Motorola has not announced the device officially, teasers are expected to surface in the coming days if the launch timeline proves accurate.

The smartphone is tipped to be priced at around Rs. 30,000, placing it in the upper mid-range segment. At this price point, it is expected to compete with offerings from brands such as OnePlus, Nothing, Samsung, and iQOO.

The leak also suggests that the Indian model will differ significantly from the version already available in global markets.

The Indian variant of the Moto G Max is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. It is also tipped to feature LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, promising faster app loading speeds and improved multitasking performance.

For photography, the smartphone is expected to sport a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 primary camera. On the software front, Motorola is reportedly planning to offer two major Android OS upgrades along with three years of security updates.

For reference, the global Moto G Max features a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 6000-series chipset. It comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage as standard, while the camera setup is headlined by a 200-megapixel primary sensor.

The global variant also packs a 5,200mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support. It debuted in Brazil at BRL 2,519 (roughly Rs. 47,000) and is available in Azul Claro and Grafite colour options.

While Motorola is yet to confirm the Indian launch, the latest leak suggests the company is preparing a market-specific version of the G Max with different hardware and a more competitive price. More official details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks if the launch takes place as rumoured.
