Motorola G45 5G Launched in India with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 and 50MP Camera: Starts at ₹10,999

Motorola has officially launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G45 5G, in India. As the newest addition to the company's G-series, this device promises to deliver a mix of affordability and advanced features. The Moto G45 5G is available in two variants, with prices starting at ₹10,999.

Design and Display

The Moto G45 5G sports a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, offering a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and a more responsive touch experience. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, ensuring durability against scratches and minor drops.

The phone is available in three color options-Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta-each featuring a vegan leather back that adds a premium feel to the device.

Performance

At the heart of the Moto G45 5G is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, a 6nm SoC designed for efficient performance. The phone comes in two RAM variants: 4GB and 8GB, both of which support up to 8GB of virtual RAM, providing ample memory for multitasking and gaming. The device also includes 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Camera

The Moto G45 5G is equipped with a dual-camera system on the back, featuring a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. This setup is designed to capture detailed photos in various lighting conditions. On the front, the phone houses a 16MP camera inside the punch-hole, perfect for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Charging

The device features a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and Motorola includes a 20W charger in the box.

Software and Connectivity

The Moto G45 5G runs on Android 14 out of the box, customized with Motorola's My UX. Motorola has also confirmed that the phone will receive the Android 15 OS update, along with three years of security updates, ensuring that users can enjoy the latest features and security enhancements over time.

In terms of connectivity, the Moto G45 5G supports a wide range of 5G bands, ensuring compatibility with various networks. Other connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. The device also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick and secure access.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto G45 5G is priced at ₹10,999 for the 4GB + 128GB variant and ₹12,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. While the price of the 4GB model remains unchanged from its predecessor, the 8GB version sees a slight ₹1,000 increase.

However, buyers can avail of a ₹1,000 instant discount on Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank credit card and credit card EMI transactions. Additionally, Jio customers can benefit from offers worth ₹5,000, including ₹2,000 cashback and ₹3,000 in vouchers.

The Moto G45 5G will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Motorola's official website, and through retail stores starting August 28th.
