Motorola Moto G54 and G84 Renders Leak, Revealing Key Specifications, Camera Hardware, And More

Motorola is expected to expand its popular G series, which includes midrange, feature-packed Android smartphones. The leaked renders of the Moto G54 and G84 strongly suggest Motorola hasn't deviated from this design philosophy.

The Motorola Moto G54 and G84 feature a dual rear camera setup, confirmed to be headlined by a 50MP OIS-enabled primary camera. Let's take a look at the specifications, features, expected launch, price, and availability of the upcoming smartphones from Motorola.

Motorola appears to be readying the successors of the Moto G53 and the Moto G82, which launched last year. While the Moot G53 was one of the first smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ SoC, the G82 was a popular device with the Snapdragon 695 SoC. Needless to add, both smartphones supported 5G networks and were priced very aggressively.

The leaked renders of the Moto G54 and Moto G84 seem to suggest Motorola is attempting to offer visually stunning smartphones. The images appear to be ready for the press and promotions and reveal the G54 would be available in Outer Space, Coronet Blue, and Ambrosia colors.

The Moto G84 should be available in Black with a normal back, Light Green, and Pantone Color of the Year 2023, Magenta. The leaked renders seem to suggest Motorola could offer some iterations of the Moto G54 and Moto G84 with a leatherette back panel.

As the names suggest, the Moto G54 sits below the Moto G84. Previous leaks about these smartphones suggest the Moto G54 will feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Moto G84, on the other hand, is rumored to feature a similarly sized, Full HD+ screen but may feature an OLED screen. Moreover, this being a Motorola smartphone, the company may have embedded a P-OLED display in the Moto G84.

The leaked renders of the Moto G54 and Moto G84 indicate these devices will feature a dual rear camera setup, which will be headlined by a 50MP camera that will support OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). The secondary camera could be an ultra-wide lens with depth or macro features, which has been observed in previous Motorola G series smartphones.

Recent reports about the upcoming Motorola smartphones suggest these devices could feature a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. There should be an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication as well.

Motorola should embed 5000mAh battery packs inside the Moto G54 and Moto G84. These midrange smartphones could pack up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

The Moto G82 may have launched in June 2022, the Moto G53 arrive in December 2022. Motorola hasn't officially confirmed the launch date of the Moto G54 and Moto G84 smartphones, but according to some industry experts, the company could launch these devices before the end of next month.

The Moto G84 5G is expected to be available in 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB iterations, while the Moto G54 5G should be available with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
