Motorola Moto X Play with 5.5-inch Display, Snapdragon 615 SoC Announced
Yesterday, the handset manufacturer Motorola has launched series of smartphone, in the market. The three handset includes Moto G (3rd Gen) and two new series devices under the Moto X series, dubbed as Moto X Play and Moto X Style.
Both the Moto X Play comes with water repellent coating, similar to other Motorola smartphones. It has Moto Voice, Moto Display, Moto Assist and Moto Actions.
Motorola Moto X Play - Key Specifications
Motorola Moto X Play, sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 ( 4 x 1.1 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.7 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU besides 2GB RAM under the hood.
On the storage side, the Moto X Play comes with 16GB /32GB built-in memory, with an expansion option of up to 128GB via microSD card slot. In terms of software, this device comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Moving on, this device flaunts a 21MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1080p video recording, 5MP front facing camera.

The connectivity options include 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11a/g/b/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. It is powered by a 3630mAh battery, which provides up to 48 hours of battery life with mixed use and comes bundled with Motorola TurboPower 25 Charger that will offer quick charge within minutes.
The Moto X Play comes in Black and White variants with replaceable flip shells and Moto Maker customization. As of now, there is no information about the pricing of the device and will be available from August in 55 countries across Europe, Latin America, and Canada, except US. Moreover, the company has not announced the pricing or roll out details for Asia yet.
