Motorola Moto X Style starts getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates in India
In October, Motorola had revealed a list of six smartphones that would receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Motorola has kept its words and the company has started rolling out the latest Android version in India and Brazil, with Moto X Style among the first to get the update.

David Schuster, Motorola announced the roll out of the new updates via a post on Google+ post.
Android Marshmallow is being rolled out for 2015 Moto X Style (3rd Gen) in both Brazil and India retail as well as for 2014 Moto X (2nd Gen) in Brazil retail. The post by Schuster also reads that the company has started approval process for Moto X Pure Edition, and will be rolling out the update in the next few weeks.
Schuster's post on Google Plus also has several other details on what the Marshmallow could do to the smartphones. The new Marshmallow update has made several changes and improvements to its previous version. The memory manager lets users to check memory usage for all apps. Improvement in volume controls, a DND button, several tweaks to the UI, Google Now, Battery is managed better with Doze that saves battery and improves battery, App standby reduces battery drain, Expandable storage allows usage of microSD card or other portable storage devices, RAM manger allows users to view which apps ae using more memory. A new feature allows App backup to save all data on the app, improvement in text selection among others.

Motorola phones will progressively receive the updates and the phones will receive the updates in Stages. In addition to the Moto X Style, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates will roll out to the Nexus 6, Moto X Play, Moto Turbo, Moto G (third generation), Moto G (second generation).
