Motorola Moto Z Play May Receive Android Nougat Update Soon
It seems like the Moto Z Play will get Android 7.0 Nougat soon, as the variant of the phone with Android 7.0 Nougat pre-installed just got certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
With the reports that have been circulating around, it looks like Motorola's Moto Z Play smartphone might also be all set to receive the Android Nougat update.

Earlier the Motorola Moto X Play was spotted running Android 7.1.1 Nougat in GFXBench benchmark listing, now the Moto Z Play has been spotted with Android Nougat operating system.
In addition, as reported by GSMARENA, it has been found out that the Model XT1635-02, running Android version 7.0, has received Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA).

While we are yet to receive an official confirmation, no information has been disclosed on exactly when the rollout will begin. What we can deduce is that as the Android Nougat-powered model of the handset has started collecting the required certifications, we can expect the update to be rolled out soon.
On the other hand, the Nougat update has been already rolled out by Motorola to its Moto G4, G4 Plus, Moto Z, and Z Force smartphones.
