Motorola Moto Z3 Play design revealed via leaked case renders
Motorola is expected to launch the Moto Z3 Play alongside the Moto Z3 in June.
Motorola is all set to unveil its Moto G6 lineup later today in Brazil. The Lenovo-owned company is also expected to launch the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play smartphones in the coming months. While we don't know a specific launch timeline yet, Moto Z3 Play case renders have been spotted on a website. The case renders give us a fair idea of the smartphone's design.
The Moto Z3 Play seems to feature a full-screen design with the aspect ratio of 18:9. Unlike its predecessors, the bezels on the phone have been reduced significantly. The top bezel is just thick enough to house the selfie camera, in-ear speaker and sensors. Whereas the bottom bezel has the Motorola branding alongside a small microphone.
Unfortunately, the back of the smartphone can't be seen because of the cover. There is a circular cutout for the primary camera towards the top center. You can spot two sensors in the rear camera module accompanied by a dual-tone flash. This means, the Moto Z3 Play will be a dual camera smartphone.
What's odd is that there is no cutout for the fingerprints scanner on the phone's rear panel. Apparently, the Moto Z3 Play will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a similar setup present on Meizu phones. The right side of the smartphone also features the volume rockers, wheres the left side houses the power button.
The bottom part of the Moto Z3 Play has a USB Type-C connector. Unfortunately, Motorola seems to have ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Moto Z3 Play is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. In terms of memory, the smartphone is likely to come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. According to previous reports, the smartphone will sport a large 6.1-inch display and a 3,000mAh battery inside will keep the lights on.
Motorola is yet to confirm any information regarding the Moto Z3 Play, but looking at the company's past, we expect the smartphone to get unveiled in the beginning of June. Meanwhile, there are a few hours left for the launch of Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus.
