Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Key Specifications Leaked: Inner, Outer Display Sizes, SD8+ G1 SoC Tipped

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is expected to launch next month. The premium clamshell-style foldable smartphone's design renders had leaked recently. Now, the flagship Android phone's key specifications have been leaked.

Motorola is tipped to launch the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra and the Motorola Razr 40 early next month. However, these premium smartphones won't be available in the same markets even though Motorola could launch both devices together. As the name implies, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is the higher-end variant. Let's look at the leaked specifications and features of the upcoming foldable smartphone from Motorola.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Rumored Specifications

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is a clamshell-style foldable smartphone with two displays. The inner and main screen of the smartphone is tipped to Full HD+ AMOLED with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Previous reports about the Motorola phone had indicated the primary display will measure 6.9 inches. The secondary, outer display too would be AMOLED. It is tipped to measure 3.6 inches. The external and always-exposed screen is tipped to have a resolution of 1056 x 1066 pixels.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra had recently surfaced on the Geekbench database, bearing the model number Motorola XT2321-1. The listing revealed the flagship smartphone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which will be accompanied by at least 8GB RAM.

The new leak claims the Razr 40 Ultra will have a variant with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Simply put, Motorola may offer the base variant of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, and the top-end variant would have 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

Apart from the RAM and storage, the new leak also reveals the imaging hardware embedded in the Razr 40 Ultra. The clamshell-style foldable Android smartphone is tipped to feature a 32MP OmniVision OV32B40 front-facing camera. Needless to mention, this camera would be embedded inside the larger, foldable display.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will have a dual camera setup that will sit below the secondary display. It is tipped to feature a 12MP Sony IMX53 primary camera, which would be accompanied by a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 ultra-wide-angle secondary camera.

Motorola is reportedly planning to offer a dual SIM variant and an eSIM variant of the Razr 40 Ultra. Some of the variants would also have an NFC chip, but all will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Launch, Availability

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is tipped to launch in three colors: Black, Blue, and Barberry. Previous reports have suggested Motorola may launch the smartphone on June 1, 2023.

Motorola may initially restrict the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra to the Chinese market while offering the Motorola Razr 40 in international markets, including Europe and India. The base variant of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra with 8GB of RAM is expected to be priced at 1200 Euros, which may translate to ₹99,999 in India as and when it launches in these regions
