Motorola Razr 40 Ultra leaked renders show massive cover screen
Motorola is gearing up to launch a new clamshell foldable smartphone soon. The Moto Razr 40 Ultra will be the latest entrants to the Razr flip smartphone line-up. We recently got a look at the upcoming Motorola Razr 40 and now new leaks have revealed renders of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.
The leaked rendered images come courtesy of tipster Evan Blass (@eveleaks). While the images don't reveal the specifications of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, it does showcase the phone's outer display, which is the biggest on a modern clamshell folding smartphone so far.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Cover Display
The larger cover screen appears to take up the entire half of the back panel, even wrapping around the two camera modules and the LED flash. The images also show the Moto Razr 40 Ultra in Black, Silver/Grey, and Magenta shades.
The Magenta colour appears to be similar to that of the Motorola Edge 40. It will be interesting to see how Motorola up the ante with the new cover display on the Razr 40 Ultra. A larger cover screen should enable more functionality, pushing the limits of its utility to never before seen levels.
Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
The Moto Razr 40 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Razr 40 Ultra will pack a 3,640 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Additionally, Motorola's upcoming flip smartphone will run Android 13 out of the box with MyUX on top.
The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will sport a 6.9-inch foldable OLED display with a high-refresh-rate, presumably 120Hz, although some rumours have suggested it could be higher, going up to 165Hz. For optics, the Razr 40 Ultra is touted to get a 12MP main Sony IMX563 sensor and a 13MP SK Hynix Hi1336 ultra-wide sensor as well as a 32 MP selfie camera.
