Motorola Razr 50 Launches in India on September 9 with 3.6-inch Cover Display & Dimensity 7300X SoC
Motorola has confirmed the arrival of the Razr 50 in India, following the launch of its premium sibling, the Razr 50 Ultra, in July.
This foldable phone boasts the segment's largest external display at 3.6 inches, aiming to provide more functionality without unfolding the phone.

Durability and Design
The Razr 50 prioritizes durability with features like Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for the outer screen, an IPX8 water resistance rating, and a hinge certified for 400,000 folds. This translates to peace of mind for users concerned about potential wear and tear on the foldable mechanism.
The 3.6-inch pOLED external display offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate for a smooth user experience. The peak brightness of 1700 nits ensures good visibility outdoors.
Also, users can now access Google Assistant directly from this external display, expanding its functionality. Additionally, the phone boasts a desk mode for convenient usage when unfolded and a vegan leather finish for a premium look.
Internal Specs and Battery
Unfolding the Razr 50 reveals a 6.9-inch foldable pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth viewing experience. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC, a step up from the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 used in the previous Razr model. This upgrade should translate to improved performance.
The Razr 50 packs a 4200mAh battery, which might seem sufficient for a day's usage depending on individual habits. In terms of charging, it supports 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless fast charging.
Availability and Expected Price
The Motorola Razr 50 will be available for purchase in India starting from September 9th. Customers will be able to find it online on Amazon India and the Motorola India website, as well as in leading retail stores.
While official pricing hasn't been announced, considering the Razr 50 Ultra's price tag of Rs 99,999, the Razr 50 is expected to be priced slightly lower. In China, the base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage starts around Rs 42,500 (RMB 3,699), suggesting a potential starting price in India within that range.
Overall, the Motorola Razr 50 offers a compelling option for those seeking a foldable phone with a large external display and a focus on durability. With its upcoming launch and competitive pricing, the Razr 50 has the potential to shake up the foldable phone market in India.
