Motorola Razr Fold Launch Date in India Confirmed for May 13: Check Expected Pricing and Specifications

Motorola recently confirmed the launch of its first book-style foldable smartphone in India this month. Now, the smartphone maker has announced the official launch date of the Motorola Razr Fold in India.

To recall, the Motorola Razr Fold first showed up at CES 2026 and has since been unveiled in other markets. It features dual LTPO OLED displays, a Snapdragon chipset, three 50MP cameras, and a silicon carbon battery with both wired and wireless charging support.

The Motorola Razr Fold is launching in India on May 13. Following its launch, the handset will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart and Motorola's website. Motorola is yet to reveal pricing of its upcoming foldable, but we expect it to cost a premium.

The Motorola Razr Fold price in India could start from anywhere between Rs 1,40,000 to Rs 1,60,000. To recall, the Motorola Razr Fold features a starting price of EUR 1,999 (roughly Rs. 2,21,050) in Germany.

Motorola Razr Fold Specifications

Core hardware for the Motorola Razr Fold includes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and a 6,000mAh battery. Fast charging support covers 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device carries IP48 and IP49 ratings, indicating resistance to larger particles, water submersion and pressurised water jets.

The foldable features an 8.1-inch main display with a 120Hz LTPO panel that supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. On the outside, a 6.6-inch cover screen offers a faster 165Hz LTPO refresh rate, also with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ certification, aimed at smoother scrolling and improved video playback.

Motorola highlights the camera system as a major draw for the Razr Fold in India. The model recently topped DXOMARK's foldable rankings, taking the #1 position in that segment and reaching #8 across all smartphones tested, based on the organisation's scoring.

The rear camera setup uses a 50MP primary sensor sized at 1/1.28 inches, combined with a 50MP periscope unit that offers 3x optical zoom at 71mm and carries a 1/1.95-inch sensor. A 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 122-degree field of view completes the triple camera arrangement.

Motorola India already hosts a dedicated Razr Fold page that confirms two memory configurations. Buyers in India will see 12/256GB and 16/512GB variants, along with three colourways, namely Pantone Blackened Blue, Pantone Lily White and a FIFA World Cup 2026 Edition with a black base finish.
