Motorola Razr Fold Launch in India Confirmed: Company’s First Book-style Foldable is Arriving in May
Motorola has officially introduced its first book-style foldable, the Motorola Razr Fold, at MWC 2026. After launching in Europe, the premium foldable is now expanding to more markets, with China set to receive it soon. India appears to be next in line, as fresh developments point to an imminent launch.

The Motorola Razr Fold India landing page has gone live, carrying a "coming soon" tag. This strongly suggests that the official launch is just around the corner.

The page also features a "Notify Me" option, allowing interested buyers to register for updates ahead of availability. While Motorola has not confirmed an exact launch date, the teaser indicates the rollout is expected in the coming days.
Expected Competition in India
Once launched, the Motorola Razr Fold will enter the premium foldable segment in India. It is expected to compete with upcoming devices such as the Vivo X Fold 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. In Europe, the device is priced in the flagship tier, suggesting a similar premium positioning in India, although official pricing details are yet to be announced.
Motorola Razr Fold Specifications
The Motorola Razr Fold features a 6.6-inch pOLED outer display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 2520 × 1080 resolution, and up to 6000 nits peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. The inner 8.1-inch LTPO display offers a 2484 × 2232 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 6200 nits brightness with UTG protection.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB storage. The device packs a 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 5W reverse wired charging.
For photography, it includes a triple 50MP rear camera setup featuring a Sony LYT-828 main sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto camera with OIS. It also offers a 32MP outer front camera and a 20MP inner camera, with support for 8K video recording and Dolby Vision.
On the software side, the device runs Android 16 and is promised seven years of Android updates and security patches. Additional features include Motorola Pen Ultra support and an IP48/49 rating for improved durability.
