The Razr Fold aims directly at rivals such as Samsung’s Z Fold 7 and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but Motorola is taking a different approach at the trade show, relying on focused announcements rather than a huge booth to highlight an 8.1‑inch 2K inner display and a 6.6‑inch outer panel.

Motorola Razr Fold Design, Display and Software Features

Motorola already sells some of the leading flip phones, and the Razr Fold moves the brand into the book‑style foldable segment, pairing the 8.1‑inch 2K main display with the 6.6‑inch external screen and an interface reportedly optimised for flexible layouts, adaptive interfaces, enhanced multitasking, and support for the new moto pen ultra.

Motorola has not yet confirmed when the Razr Fold will reach stores, but the company has outlined several software tweaks for large‑screen use, including layouts that shift content intelligently between the inner and outer displays and stylus‑friendly tools designed around the Moto Pen Ultra accessory.

Motorola Razr Fold Camera, Colours and Key Specifications

The Razr Fold camera system centres on a 50MP Sony LYTIA main sensor, supported by a 50MP ultra‑wide and macro lens and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto lens, while a 32MP external selfie camera and a 20MP internal camera complete the setup, with every unit capable of Dolby Vision recording and offered in PANTONE Blackened Blue and PANTONE Lily White.

Motorola has promised further hardware information later, stating, "More specifications will be shared in the coming months!" and positioning the Razr Fold as a direct competitor to other book‑style foldables rather than as a niche experiment, even though final pricing and regional launch plans remain undisclosed.

Motorola Razr World Cup Edition Details

A smaller clamshell in the line‑up gains a fresh design, with Motorola announcing the Moto Razr FIFA World Cup 26 Edition, which the company describes as a "bold new expression of design and purpose that brings the spirit of the FIFA World CupTM directly into the hands of fans, players, and creators."

The Moto Razr FIFA World Cup 26 Edition will first go on sale on 12 February, priced at 700 dollars and available exclusively through Motorola’s website, Verizon, and Total Wireless at launch, with a wider retail rollout promised afterwards for customers who prefer other channels.

New Motorola Accessories

Motorola’s CES announcements extended beyond smartphones to wearables, with the Moto Watch positioned as a rugged companion featuring IP68 water and dust resistance, a 1.43‑inch round OLED display covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a weight of 35g despite a 47mm case, Bluetooth 5.3 + BLE support, multiple sensors, and a claimed 13‑day battery life.

The Moto Pen Ultra stylus, expected to work closely with the Razr Fold’s large inner display, delivers latency under 5ms and recognises 4096 pressure levels, while software features include Annotate and e‑sign, Sketch to Image, Speed Share, Quick Clip, and other tools aimed at drawing, quick notes, and document handling.

The Moto Tag 2, which follows the original Moto Tag released in August 2024, shifts to Bluetooth 6.0 with Channel Sounding technology that can offer sub‑metre distance accuracy for location tracking, replaces the earlier basic Bluetooth and UWB combination, and adds around 500 days of use from a CR2032 cell along with a durability jump from IP67 to IP68.
