Motorola rolls out Android 8.0 Oreo kernal source for Moto Z 2016 model
The new kernel source brings android version 8.0 for the Moto Z and the device will join the Oreo bandwagon.
Motorola has been known for giving users the experience of stock android and we all know that most of its smartphones had UI of stock android and were updated to the latest version of Android almost on a regular basis. Now keeping following the same footsteps the company has rolled out an update for the kernel source code of its Moto Z 2016 model.

For our reader who doesn't know what a kernel source is we would like to add that the kernel OS is similar to the heart of an OS which manages the interaction between human and the hardware of a device. Further, the kernel source also allows a developer gain access to custom ROM and recoveries working on the device.
Coming back to the Moto Z 2016, the device was announced back in October 2016 and was shipped with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The new kernel source brings android version 8.0 for the device and the device will join the Oreo bandwagon. Let's now have a look at the features and specs that this device offers to its users.

The Motorola Moto Z features a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display which has a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The display is AMOLED and is quite vivid and responsive. The smartphone runs on Quad Core 1.8 GHz, Qualcomm MSM Snapdragon 820 which is coupled with Adreno 530GPU. The device has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card.

On the imaging front, the Motorola Moto Z sports a 13 MP camera that comes with Geo Tagging. The device makes use of a 5MP front camera. The Motorola Moto Z gets the power from a Non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery.
