Motorola is expected to launch its G6 lineup of smartphones later this month. The Lenovo-owned company has sent out press invites for an event which will take place on April 19 in São Paulo, Brazil. Unfortunately, the press invite (via ANDROIDPIT)doesn't explicitly reveal anything about the devices which will be unveiled on the said date.
The green background of the press invite however hints that Motorola will finally take the wraps off the long rumored Moto G6 series. Thanks to the leaks, we already know that the Moto G6 lineup includes the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play. Unlike last year's Moto G5 lineup which comprised the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, there will be an additional Play variant this year.
Moto G6 is expected to be a dual-SIM smartphone running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS. According to recent reports, it will be fitted with a 5.7-inch full-HD+ IPS display with 1,080×2,160 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, teamed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable (up to 256GB) inbuilt storage. There could be another variant with 32GB of storage.
In terms of optics, the Motorola Moto G6 will reportedly sport a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. At the front, there could be a 16MP selfie snapper. The smartphone is also tipped to come with a 4,000mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Moto G6 Plus
The Motorola Moto G6 Plus is tipped to arrive with a slightly larger 5.93-inch full-HD+ IPS display with 1,080×2,160 pixels screen resolution.
If rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will be equipped with a Snapdragon 630 processor, along with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The storage space is further expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card.
Moto G6 Plus's camera department is believed same as that of the Moto G6.
Moto G6 Play
The Motorola Moto G6 Play is expected to flaunt a 5.7-inch FHD+ display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it could make use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The smartphone is likely to come in two memory variants. The basic one will feature 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, while the higher variant will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of default storage space.
The smartphone is said to pack a large 4,000mAh, which will probably be its key highlight. On the optics front, the Moto G6 Play could feature a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera.
