Motorola Teases Moto X70 Air Ahead of October Launch in China
Lenovo’s Motorola brand has confirmed its next smartphone launch, the Moto X70 Air, arriving in China in late October. The teaser highlights an AI-driven experience along with a slim and lightweight design, although exact specifications remain undisclosed.
Design Teased With AI Focus
The first official teaser shows the phone’s right edge with volume and power buttons, while the back appears to include at least two cameras. Motorola is positioning the X70 Air as an AI-centric device, with a focus on thinness and portability.
The announcement arrives as comparisons are already being drawn with Apple’s iPhone 17 Air, which measures 5.6mm in thickness and weighs about 165 grams. Motorola hasn’t revealed measurements yet, but visuals suggest a similarly slim body.
A Different Motorola Device Surfaces on TENAA
Separately, a Motorola phone with the model number XT2533-4 appeared on China’s TENAA certification platform. That listing describes a 6.72-inch 1.5K LCD panel, a 2.4GHz processor, up to 16GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, and a 7,000mAh battery. Camera details include a 32MP front sensor and a 50MP + 8MP dual-camera setup on the back.
At 210 grams and 8.7mm thickness, this device doesn’t match the slim profile teased for the Moto X70 Air. Leaks suggest it could instead belong to the Moto G36 5G, though speculation continues about whether it might be related to the X70 Air lineup.
What to Expect Next
While Motorola hasn’t confirmed specifications for the X70 Air, the October launch event should provide clarity. For now, the company is focusing on the AI positioning and the promise of a lightweight build, leaving room for speculation about how it compares with competitors in the same category.
