MWC 2024 | Nubia Flip 5G Affordable Foldable Launched with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, 120Hz OLED Display

Nubia recently dropped a new clamshell foldable smartphone at MWC 2024 in Barcelona. The Nubia Flip 5G debuts as a mid-tier flip smartphone with ambitions to take on the Motorola Razr 40 and Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G.

Nubia is yet to announce a global release date for the Nubia Flip 5G, although its price and specifications suggest that it won't be able to compete with the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Oppo Find N3 Flip.

Nubia Flip 5G Pricing

The Nubia Flip 5G price will start from $599 (roughly Rs 49,650), which puts it in the affordable side of flip/foldable smartphones. This will pit the Nubia Flip 5G against the Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G and Motorola Razr 40, which start from Rs 54,999 and Rs 44,999, respectively.

To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppo Find N3 Flip, and Motorola Razr 40 Ultra feature a starting price of Rs 99,999, Rs 94,999, and Rs 69,999, respectively. Moreover, its specifications also suggest that the Nubia Flip 5G will offer a mid-range experience.

Nubia Flip 5G Specifications

The Nubia Flip 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Nubia's latest flip smartphone packs a 4,310 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

The Nubia Flip 5G sports a 6.9-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,188 x 2,790 pixels. The panel boasts a 120Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. The clamshell foldable also features a 1.43-inch circular cover screen with a 466 x 466 pixels resolution.

The external display can also serve as a view finder for taking selfies with the main camera. It can also be used to take calls, control media playback, and perform other simple tasks. For optics, the Flip 5G features a 50 MP primary camera sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. Additionally, there's a 16 MP selfie camera on the main display.

Nubia's mid-range flip smartphone also packs dual-stereo speakers with DTS:X Ultra sound. The Nubia Flip 5G is shown in gold and black color options.
