MWC 2025: Nubia Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT Affordable Gaming Phones Launched Alongside ZTE Flip 2

This year's Mobile World Congress has been particularly significant for ZTE, as the company unveiled several new products. Among these are two budget-friendly gaming smartphones, the Nubia Neo 3 and Neo 3 GT. Additionally, ZTE launched its Nubia Flip2 clamshell foldable globally and introduced two camera-focused smartphones, the Nubia Focus 2 and Focus 2 Ultra. The event also saw the debut of the Red Magic Pad 3D Explorer Edition tablet.

The Nubia Neo 3 is designed to be affordable while offering impressive features such as touch-sensitive shoulder triggers and a large display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This device operates on a Unisoc T8300 chipset and features a 6.8-inch screen. Depending on the region, it is equipped with either a 5,200 or 6,000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Nubia Neo 3 GT: Enhanced Performance

The Neo 3 GT model enhances performance by upgrading to a Unisoc T9100 chipset paired with a substantial vapor chamber for improved cooling. It retains the same display size and refresh rate as its counterpart but uses an OLED screen this time. Battery options include capacities of either 5,000 or 6,000 mAh depending on market availability.

In terms of photography, the Nubia Focus 2 boasts a powerful 108MP main camera alongside AI enhancements like AI Sport Snapshot for superior image quality. It comes with a 6.7-inch display. Meanwhile, the Focus 2 Ultra offers an even larger sensor at 1/1.55 inches and an f/1.47 aperture for enhanced low-light performance.

Nubia Flip2: Affordable Foldable Option

The Nubia Flip2 was initially announced in January featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC and a foldable OLED display measuring 6.9 inches with a refresh rate of 120Hz. This device is expected to be one of the most affordable foldables available outside China, starting at €699 for its base configuration of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

The Red Magic Pad 3D Explorer Edition tablet stands out with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and expansive display measuring at an impressive size of over twelve inches diagonally. A robust battery capacity of ten thousand milliamp-hours ensures prolonged usage without frequent recharging needs.

Innovative Display Technology

The "Pad 3D" moniker highlights its unique glasses-free three-dimensional display capability which can convert two-dimensional content into immersive three-dimensional experiences using artificial intelligence technology-applicable across both photos as well as videos alike.
