New Nothing Phone 3 Leak Reveals Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Chip and 5,150mAh Battery
With just weeks to go before its official debut on July 1, the Nothing Phone 3 is already drawing attention, not for its design this time, but for what’s under the hood.
A new leak has revealed two key hardware upgrades: a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and a larger 5,150mAh battery.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 to Power the Phone 3
Tipster Yogesh Brar has claimed that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset will power the Nothing Phone 3. This is the same processor seen in devices like the iQOO Neo 10 and the upcoming Poco F7. While it does not match the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in raw performance, the 8s Gen 4 is designed to offer strong efficiency, improved thermals, and enhanced AI capabilities.
Still, the choice of chipset raises some questions. Carl Pei previously stated that the Phone 3 would be the brand’s first true flagship, yet the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is not Qualcomm’s top-tier offering. That title belongs to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite, which powers phones like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, OnePlus 13, and iQOO 13. While the 8s Gen 4 is no slouch and delivers strong performance, it does fall slightly short of the cutting-edge capabilities found in the Elite variant.
Larger Battery with Fast Charging Support
A recent listing on the UL Solutions certification platform, spotted by tipster @Sudhanshu1414, reveals a new Nothing battery with the model number NT05A and a rated capacity of 5,150mAh. If this battery powers the upcoming Phone 3, it would mark the biggest cell ever used in a Nothing device.
