Nikon D850 with 45.7-Megapixel sensor coming to India on 7 September

Nikon, one of the popular DSLR camera manufacturers unveiled its latest flagship DSLR Nikon D850 last month. While the company had announced that it would be coming in September, Nikon India at an event today has now confirmed that the camera is arriving in the country on September 7.

Further, the company has stated that Nikon D850 will be made available at a price of Rs. 2,54,950 without the lens. And with the lens which includes AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR the company will be offering the camera at a price of Rs. 2,99,950.

The company also noted that there will be several launch offers where the company will offer a complimentary AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G prime lens for consumers who buy the AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm lens or a 200-500mm lens with the body. The company will also provide a complimentary AF-S VR 70-300mm lens on purchasing the AF-S NIKKOR 24-70 f/2.8G ED lens with the body or kit.

In addition, interested buyers will also receive a Jealiot Runner 0702 DSLR backpack and a 64GB UHS-1 SD card with every purchase of the Nikon D850.

Talking about the camera, the new Nikon flagship D850 has been designed with a rugged magnesium alloy body which is weather sealed and the company claims that it can withstand grueling environments.

The camera features a 3.2-inch, 2.35 million dot resolution display with touchscreen and tilt functionality. The camera comes with a massive 45.7-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor without any optical low pass filter which preserves sharpness in photos. The DSLR is equipped with the company's own EXPEED 5 image processor that allows the users to carry out full resolution 7fps burst shooting.

Nikon D850 also comes with features like a wide ISO range of 64-25,600 (it is also expandable down to ISO 32 and up to ISO 102,400), a 153-point autofocus system with 99 cross-type autofocus points and the ability to shoot 4K video at 30fps or 1080p video at 120fps.

Connectivity options include built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for Nikon's SnapBridge feature. This feature lets users transfer images from the camera to a smartphone even when the camera is switched off. The camera also offers HDMI output as well as inputs for headphone and microphone.

Other features include dual memory card slots for XQD and SD cards, backlit buttons, an electronic shutter for live view mode for silent shooting, support for RAW files, and more. As for compatibility, D850 is compatible with Nikon's wide range of FX-format lens.
