Nokia 9 PureView recently made a cameo on Geekbench running on the latest Android 10 OS. Launched at the MWC 2019, the Android One smartphone is promised to get timely Android updates. HMD Global has already started testing the new Android version on the Nokia 9 PureView which is likely to release towards the end of this year. Ahead of the official rollout, some information on the upcoming features has been revealed. Details are as follows:

No Night Camera Mode For Nokia 9 PureView After Android 10 Update

Nokia 9 PureView Android 10 Update Details

Some previous leaks suggested that the Nokia 9 PureView will get support for Night Mode for the camera with the next Android update. However, a fresh report from NokiaPowerUser suggests otherwise.

It is being said that the Android 10 update will not add the Night Mode feature because of the 'Light Technology' used on the device. This limits the company from making adjustments to the cameras. Moreover, to get this feature up and running HMD Global will need support from both Qualcomm and Light.

As of now, Nokia has not confirmed if this feature will be missing from the update. But, if the company somehow manages to add this feature to the Nokia 9 PureView, we can expect better low-light photography.

Nokia 9 PureView Quick Specifications And Features

The Nokia 9 PureView bestows a 5.99-inch pOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels Quad HD resolution. There is no notch and the bezels are slightly thick (at the top and bottom). Protecting the display from scratches is the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer.

The primary highlight of the Nokia 9 PureView is the Penta-lens rear camera housing 12MP sensors with an f/1.8 aperture (two RGB and three monochrome sensors). To capture selfies, the device uses a 20MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture upfront.

The device makes use of an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset with a 2.8GHz clock speed. Aiding the chipset is Adreno 609 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 128GB non-expandable storage. It ships with Android Pie OS and offers a stock Android experience. Completing the spec-sheet is a 3,320 mAh battery with wireless and quick charge support.

Just to recall, the company is also likely working on the Nokia 9.1 PureView with a Snapdragon 865 chipset. While HMD Global has a reputation for introducing its new smartphones during the MWC, the Nokia 9.1 PureView is said to launch in Q2 of 2020.
