HMD Global has officially launched its latest entry-level smartphone -- the Nokia 2.3 at an event in Egypt. There were rumors and speculations that the company will launch the Nokia 8.2 and the Nokia 5.2. However, this is the only phone that has been unveiled.

Nokia 2.3 Features And Specifications

The Nokia 2.3 is an ultra-budget smartphone from HMD Global with a plastic unibody design. The phone comes with a 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 2.5D curved tempered glass. The display has a water-drop notch at the top and a slightly thick chin with a Nokia branding at the bottom.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 octa-core SoC based on 12nm fabrication and IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. The chipset is clubbed with 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage with a microSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 512GB. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with stock UI and is upgradable to Android 10 OS.

As per the connectivity, the phone has dual nano-SIM card slots with support for 4G LTE and VoLTE on both slots. The phone also supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz) with Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS.

On to the optics, the Nokia 2.3 has a dual-camera setup at the back with a 13MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and a 2MP secondary depth sensor. There is a 5MP selfie camera at the front with an f/2.4 aperture. Lastly, a 4,000 mAh battery fuels the smartphone with a promised battery life of up to two days on a single charge.

Price And Availability

The device will be available in Cyan Green, Sand and Charcoal colors for 109 Euros (approx Rs. 8,600). And, the Nokia 2.3 will go on sale in select markets from mid-December. As of now, there is no information on the availability of this device in India.
