Nokia 2 now receiving April Android security patch

Nokia has released the April Android security patch for the Nokia 2. The update is said to be in the initial phase in India specifically for the model TA-1011. The update has been released by Nokia days after the company has rolled out the updates for the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 1 April Android security patch.

As per some reports from the web, the latest update for the Nokia 2 doesn't bring any noticeable change in the layout or the features of the phone. Nokia 2 users can check the availability of the new update by going to the Settings > About phone > Software updates. It is worth noting the fact that the April Android security patch comes in two security patch levels, both of which addresses a number of system-level vulnerabilities that range from high to critical level. The major issue that the latest patch will fix is a critical security vulnerability in Android's media framework which can allow a remote hacker to execute arbitrary code by using a 'specifically crafted file'. However, Google is claiming that at the moment there is no report of customer exploitation by using the newly reported issues.
