Nokia 3310 3G variant might not be released in India
Nokia 3310 3G’s availability tipped by company.
HMD Global announced the Nokia 3310 3G variant on Thursday after its 2G variant failed to make its way into select markets due to the unavailability of the 2G networks.
Now, Nokia Mobile has taken to Twitter to confirm the availability of the Nokia 3310 3G feature phone. Going by the same, the 3G variant of the relaunched feature phone will be made available in the USA and Australia. However, there is no word regarding when exactly the device will be available for purchase.
Following this information that was revealed on Twitter, more details have been revealed by an HMD spokesperson to NokiaPowerUser. According to the report, the Nokia 3310 3G variant will not be released in India. It goes on stating that the 3G variant of the feature phone does not make sense in India as 3G networks are supported in the country. The report states that HMD has not revealed any further information regarding the availability of the feature phone in other markets.
The Nokia 3310 3G variant launched announced a couple of days back and the release will debut sometime in mid-October. The feature phone comes with similar specifications as its 2G variant except for bumped up storage space. The handset bestows a 2.4-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It will be available in single and dual-SIM variants and has Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro USB port.
The 3G variant of Nokia 3310 has 64GB storage space, which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. The device gets the power from a 1200mAh battery that is claimed to render up to 6.5 hours of talk time. There is a 2MP rear camera with LED flash at the rear of the handset.
