Nokia 6 (2018) official teaser poster released ahead of launch

HMD Global is expected to launch the Nokia 6 (2018) on January 5 in China. Thanks to the countless leaks and rumors, we already know what the smartphone will bring to the table.

Now, HMD Global has released a teaser poster for the Nokia 6 (2018). The teaser poster states that the smartphone will deliver a more refined performance over its predecessor. The teaser also confirms that the upcoming Nokia phone will feature 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, and it will be available for purchase in China exclusively through the retail website Suning.

Besides the leaks, the Nokia 6 (2018) recently visited Geekbench giving away some of its key specifications. According to the benchmark listing, the smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor running at 2.21GHz.

In the memory department, it will offer 4GB of RAM. The Geekbench database further revealed that the handset will arrive pre-installed with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.

The Nokia 6 (2018) has also received its TENAA certification. Unlike the Geekbench listing, the TENAA listing has shed more light on the specifications of the smartphone. If we go by the TENAA listing, it shows that the handset runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. As you can see, the information about the mobile operating system is contradictory.

While the information listed on benchmark sites and TENAA often turn out to be inaccurate, there is a chance that there will be two variants of the new Nokia 6. One meant for the Chinese market, while the other one for global markets.

As far as rest of the specifications are concerned, the Nokia 6 (2018) is speculated to be launched with a 5.5-inch display with a FHD resolution of 1,920×1,080 pixels. While previous rumors had suggested that it will be the first Nokia phone to have an aspect ratio of 18:9, it has now been confirmed via leaked live images that the smartphone will feature the conventional 16:9 aspect ratio.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 6 (2018) is likely to feature a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. The device is said to draw the power from a 3,000mAh battery just like its predecessor and arrive in three color options such as White, Blue, and Black.
