Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco up for pre-order in India

HMD Global, the company who manufacture the smartphone under the brand logo of Nokia, has launched the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone earlier this month in India, along with the Nokia 6 (2018).

The Nokia 6 (2018) has already made its way to the market and gone up for sale, the other two smartphones are still in the queue of pre-order. Both the smartphone will go on pre-order from 20 April and will go on sales from April 30. The Nokia 7 Plus will go on sale with a price tag of Rs 25,999 and will be exclusively available on Amazon India, Nokia mobile shop and other retailers.

On the other side, the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be exclusively available on Flipkart, Nokia mobiles shops and selected retailers. The flagship model is priced at Rs 49,999. Airtel in collaboration with Nokia is offering a cashback of Rs 2,000 on the purchase of Nokia 7 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco buyer with Airtel connection will be eligible for 20GB extra data of prepaid recharge of Rs 199 or Rs 349 for six months. On the side, postpaid users will also get 20GB extra data with recharge of Rs 399 or Rs 499.

Nokia 7 Plus specifications

Nokia 7 Plus comes with a 6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 octa-core Soc processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which can be expandable by a microSD card.

On the camera part, the Nokia 7 gets a dual-camera setup with the combination of dual 12-megapixel camera sensors. The primary sensor comes with f/1.75 aperture and the secondary image sensor have a f/2.6 aperture. As always both the lens are from Carl Zeiss optics and the secondary sensor comes with 2x optical zoom.

On the front, the smartphone houses a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 1080 video recording. The Nokia 7 runs on Android Oreo with Google's Android One branding. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the rear panel of the phone. The smartphone is backed by a 3,800mAh battery and also sports a USB Type-C charging port.

Nokia 8 Sirocco specifications

The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch OLED display along with a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The Nokia 8 Sirocco still stick with the 16:9 ratio screen. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

Its also sports a dual-camera setup on the rear, with the combination of 12- megapixel + 13-megapixel camera sensors. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera with display flash.

It runs Android Oreo with Android One support. The Nokia 8 Sirocco sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP67 water and dust resistance and is armed with a 3,260mAh battery with support for wireless charging.
