As promised, the Nokia 8 has now arrived in Asia. The flagship smartphone was launched in Malaysia today with the price tag of RM 2,299 (approximately Rs. 35,000). This means it wouldn't be long before the device makes its way to other Asian country as well. As far as the Indian launch is concerned, we are expecting the Nokia 8 to come to the country soon.

That being said, HMD has not yet announced a date for the Nokia 8 launch in India. As a reminder, the smartphone sports a 5.3-inch IPS 2K resolution display with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.

Under its hood, the phone makes use of a Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. There is 64GB default memory space that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The device gets the power from a 3090mAh battery with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 8 flaunts a 13MP dual-lens rear camera setup for clicking photos in RGB and Monochrome. Up front, there is a 13MP selfie camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and display flash.

Software-wise, the handset runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and stock Android.

The connectivity features on board include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual SIM support in select markets, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port.
