Nokia 8110 4G feature phone may not launch on April 4
It seems like HMD Global wants to focus more in the mid-range and high-end segment of smartphones.
HMD Global, the brand licensee of Nokia brand, unveiled a total of five handsets at MWC 2018. Out of which, four are smartphones and one is the Nokia 8110 4G feature phone. The phone grabbed eyeballs at the tech conference mainly due to its bright Yellow color and the nostalgic feeling it gives.
Unfortunately, you may not get your hands on the Nokia 8110 4G. According to a Gadgets Now report, HMD may not launch the feature phone in the Indian market on April 4. As some of you may know, the Finnish company has recently sent out media invites for an event slated for April 4 in New Delhi. If the report is legit, we could witness the launch of Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 Sirocco.
HMD has already launched its Nokia 1 Android Go smartphone in India. However, the company may want to focus more in the mid-range and high-end segment. This would explain why the Nokia 8110 4G phone won't reach the Indian market just yet.
HMD's media invite doesn't reveal much, leaving us in confusion. At the moment, we are not sure if only one or multiple phones will be launched at event on April 4.
