The rumor mill has been quite with the smartphone by churning out new details every now and then. While HMD Global (brand licensee of Nokia) is yet to confirm the existence of Nokia 9, the phone seems to be in the works.
The smartphone along with its specs sheet has been spotted on a Finnish website. According to it, Nokia 9 will be sporting a ceramic back with 18-carat gold finishing. In terms of design, it will look kind of similar to the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. However, the smartphone will bring some major upgrades when it comes to hardware.
The flagship device will come with a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with QHD resolutions Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The display will have an aspect ratio of 18:9, making Nokia 9 the second smartphone from HMD Global to feature the same.
Talking about the optics, the Nokia 9 will be equipped with triple rear camera setup from Zeiss. The camera setup will consist of a 41MP wide-angle sensor, a 20MP telephoto sensor, and a 9.7MP monochrome sensor. The rear camera will come with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and 4x optical zoom support, as well as the familiar Bothie feature. For the selfie camera, the smartphone will make use of a 21MP sensor with an aperture size of f/1.8.
Just like any other flagships, the Nokia 9 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The chipset will be clubbed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage space. We are not sure if the phone will have another variant.
The smartphone will run on Android 8.1 Oreo OS right out of the box. The entire package will be drawn by a 3,900mAh battery with wireless charging support. Finally, the listing shows that the Nokia 9 will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. There are no strong rumors on the its availability, but we expect HMD Global to launch the phone towards the end of this year.
