Nokia C02 With Android 12 (Go Edition) Launched

Nokia has inconspicuously launched its latest budget phone, the Nokia C02. While the Finnish company is known to manufacture durable smartphones, many of them are quite basic in their specifications. The C02 is no different with not much going on.

The Nokia C02 boots Android 12 (Go Edition), a watered-down version of the Android operating system usually reserved for budget devices. However, it is IP52-rated for dust and water resistance, making it durable. Here's everything the Nokia C02 has on offer:

Nokia C02 Specifications

Being an entry-level phone, the Nokia C02 sports a 5.45-inch LCD screen. The display has an FWVGA+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen is surrounded by chunky bezels, typical of older phones.

When it comes to the processor, the Nokia C02 comes equipped with an unnamed quad-core chipset with a clock speed of 1.4GHz. It is accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

As for the software, the Nokia C02 boots Android 12 (Go edition) out of the box. The company promises two years of security updates for the phone. As for the design, the handset has a polycarbonate frame with a nano-texture.

The Nokia C02 has an old-school removable 3,000mAh battery. The brand claims the battery will last the entire day. It also promises weeks of standby time. The handset can be charged via an antiquated Micro USB connector, reaching charging powers of up to 5W.

"Basic" seems to be the ongoing theme here, seeing that the Nokia C02 sports a single 5MP camera with an LED flash. The front camera is nothing to write about either, with its 2MP selfie camera.

Connectivity options include support for Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Micro USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The C02 also features dual SIM support. The handset is IP52-rated for water and dust resistance.

The Nokia C02 will be available in Charcoal and Dark Cyan colorways. The brand hasn't announced the price yet but reports hint at a sub-₹5k price point. We can expect Nokia to announce the pricing and availability details soon.
