Nokia XR21 Limited Edition unveiled, marking the start of HMD Global manufacturing in the EU

Nokia has announced a new version of its mid-range Nokia XR21 5G smartphone. The Nokia XR21 Limited Edition has been announced to celebrate the start of HMD Global manufacturing 5G smartphones in Europe, more precisely in Hungary.

Nokia only commissioned 50 XR21 Limited Edition devices, only 30 of which will go on open sale. Additionally, each Nokia XR21 model will be engraved with its own unique number in the series.

Nokia XR21 Limited Edition: What's New

Apart from the engraving, the Nokia XR21 Limited Edition model features a Frosted Platinum finish on the back with its own limited-edition box. The phone features a rugged design with MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification.

Apart from the aforementioned design and build characteristics, the rest of the specifications of the Nokia XR21 Limited Edition is the same as the standard model. The Nokia XR21 Limited Edition price is set at €699 (roughly Rs 60,900).

Nokia XR21 Specifications

The Nokia XR21 features a 6.48-inch FHD+ LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate, protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass sheet that also works with gloves and wet hands. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, a mid-range chipset that is 5G enabled. This is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

At the back, the Nokia XR21 features a 64MP f/1.8 primary camera along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera. On the front is a 16MP f/2.5 unit for selfies. The phone takes power from a 4,800mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The Nokia XR21 runs stock Android 12 out of the box.

However, Nokia has promised three major Android OS upgrades and four years of monthly security updates with the device. The Nokia XR21 also features an IP69K rating, which is the highest IP rating for dust and water resistance. The Nokia XR21 Limited Edition is available in Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Finland, and the UK.
