Nothing Reports 146% Year-on-Year Growth, Remains India’s Fastest Growing Smartphone Brand in Q2 2025
Nothing has once again emerged as India’s fastest-growing smartphone brand, marking its sixth consecutive quarter at the top.
The latest data from Counterpoint Research shows that the London-based company posted a 146% year-on-year growth in Q2 2025, holding onto the title it first earned back in Q1.

A Different Kind of Playbook
What’s interesting about Nothing’s rise isn’t just the numbers—it’s how it’s getting there.
While most smartphone brands are playing the same game—more models, more specs, more price points—Nothing’s running a quieter, more deliberate strategy. Fewer phones, a strong design identity, and a distinct lack of clutter. Their devices don’t look like anything else on the shelf, and apparently, that’s clicking with Indian buyers.

Retail presence has also played a part. The brand’s been expanding offline quickly, which matters in a country where in-store experience still sways a lot of purchase decisions. Add to that the fact that Nothing’s sub-brand CMF recently moved its global marketing base to India, and it’s clear the company isn’t just betting on India—it’s building from here.
The CMF Effect
A good chunk of this quarter’s boost likely came from the launch of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, which targets a slightly more affordable tier while still carrying the brand’s visual DNA.

That split—the design-centric core brand and the value-driven CMF label—is letting Nothing stretch across segments without spreading itself thin. So far, it's working.
India’s Still the Main Character
It’s easy to forget how competitive the Indian smartphone market is, especially in the mid-range. But Nothing’s growth suggests there's still space for a new kind of player—one that doesn’t just sell phones, but sells a vibe.
The big question now: how long can they keep this going?
