Nothing OS 4.1 Update Rolling Out: Check List of Eligible Devices and Key Features
Nothing is widening the rollout of its latest software update.
After introducing Nothing OS 4.1 with the newer Phone (4a) lineup last month, the company is now pushing the update to older Nothing and CMF smartphones. The rollout started with the Nothing Phone (3) and has now expanded to several devices across both brands.

So if you’re using an older Nothing phone, this update may already be on the way.
These Devices Are Now Getting The Update
The latest software is rolling out to:
- Nothing Phone (3)
- Nothing Phone (3a)
- Nothing Phone (3a) Pro
- Nothing Phone (2)
- Nothing Phone (2a)
- Nothing Phone (2a) Plus
- CMF Phone 2 Pro
- CMF Phone 1
One phone that’s still waiting is the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite. The company says that the device will get the update sometime in May.
As usual, the rollout is happening in phases, so not everyone will see it immediately.
If the update hasn’t appeared yet, users can manually check by going to Settings > System > System Update.
New Features Coming With OS 4.1
One of the more unexpected additions is a new set of Breathing Break widgets.
These are designed for short guided breathing sessions and can be launched directly from the home screen.
Nothing is also adding an AI-powered transcription feature called Essential Voice, which can convert speech to text in more than 100 languages, including Indian regional languages like Hindi, Bengali, and Tamil.
That feature won’t be available on the Nothing Phone (2) and CMF Phone 1.
AI Editing Tools Are Also Arriving
The update also adds AI Eraser inside the Nothing Gallery app.
It can automatically remove people in the background, reflections, or let users manually erase unwanted objects from photos.
On top of that, Nothing has expanded Live Updates support across the Always-On Display, lock screen, notifications, and status bar.
There’s also a new community-designed clock face, the April 2026 security patch, and the usual bug fixes.
