Nothing Phone 2a Launch Date in India Set for March 5: Here’s What we Know So Far

The Nothing Phone 2a is making its debut in India and globally next month. Nothing recently took to Twitter to confirm the official launch date for the upcoming Phone (2a).

Rumors about the Nothing Phone (2a) have been doing the rounds for some time now. However, no official launch date was provided until now. While the Phone (2a) is expected to be a stripped-down version of the Phone (2), it will offer an upgrade over the Phone (1).

Nothing Phone 2a Launch Date, Availability in India

The Nothing Phone 2a launch date in India and globally is set for March 5 at 11:30 am (GMT) or 05:00 pm (IST). Additionally, Flipkart's microsite also confirms the official launch date of the Phone 2a, confirming its availability on the platform after the release date.

According to Nothing CEO Carl Pei, the Nothing Phone 2a will aim to deliver the same premium experience at a more affordable price tag. Nothing also confirmed that the Phone 2a will retain the Glyph Interface from the Nothing Phone 1 and Phone 2.

The Nothing Phone 2 currently falls in India's sub-40K segment, so we expect the Nothing Phone 2a price in India to start from under Rs 30,000. While the specifications of the Nothing Phone 2a are still under wraps, recent rumors have painted a detailed picture of what to expect.

Nothing Phone 2a Specifications (Expected)

The Nothing Phone 2a is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Moreover, the handset will run Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5.

For optics, the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to feature a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KGN9 primary sensor with OIS and a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 ultrawide shooter. Up front, the Phone (2a) could feature a 16 MP selfie camera.

The Noting Phone (2a) will also pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The handset will also feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Ahead of the official launch, we could also get a glimpse of the Nothing Phone 2a at MWC 2024 in Barcelona.
