Nothing Phone (2a) Launching Soon: CEO Carl Pei Confirms New Smartphone in the Works
Nothing CEO Carl Pei recently confirmed the arrival of a new smartphone on X (formerly Twitter). The smartphone in question will likely be the highly speculated Nothing Phone (2a), which will be a toned-down version of the Nothing Phone (2).
To recall, the Nothing Phone (2a)'s specifications and design have already been teased in the past by tipsters Kamila and Yogesh Brar. However, the recent post by Pei is the first concrete information we have about the Phone (2a).

Keep in mind, the post only confirms that a new smartphone from Nothing would be debuting soon, no official moniker was provided. But if rumors are to be believed than the upcoming device will be the Nothing Phone 2a.
Pei also doesn't reveal an official timeline for Nothing's upcoming smartphone, although the company has scheduled an event, "Nothing to See", on February 27 at MWC 2024 in Barcelona.
Nothing Phone (2a) Specifications Expected
The Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC paired with the Mali-G610 MP4 GPU. The Phone (2a) will come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The handset will run Android 14 out of the box with Nothing OS 2.5 on top.
For optics, the Nothing Phone (2a) will feature a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS and a 1/1.5" sensor size. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the Phone (2a) will opt for a 32 MP Sony IMX615 sensor.
The Phone (2a) is also expected to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The upcoming Nothing smartphone is touted to arrive in Black and White color options. Stay tuned to Gizbot for more details about the Nothing Phone (2a).
