Nothing Phone 2a Plus with MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro, Three 50MP Cameras Launched in India

Nothing just dropped a more powerful version of the Phone 2a in India. The Nothing Phone (2a) Plus brings minor improvements over the Phone 2a, although it does sit under the more premium Nothing Phone 2. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus has officially been announced in India.

The Phone 2a+ debuts as a beefier version of the Phone 2a, which was unveiled earlier this month. While most Nothing Phone (2a) Plus does retain the same design and most of the same specs as the original Phone 2a, the former gets a new chip, faster charging, and a high-res selfie camera. It also comes in two new color options.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Specifications

The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset. The MediaTek chip was built in collaboration with Nothing as an overclocked version of the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro on the Phone 2a. Nothing claims that users can expect 10% faster CPU performance and a massive 30% jump in GPU operations.

The chip is paired with the Mali-G610 MC4 GPU, up to 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with faster 50W wired charging support, the fastest of any Nothing smartphone.

The handset also runs Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6 out of the box, with the company promising three years of Android OS updates and four years of regular security patches. Nothing's latest mid-range smartphone sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The panel also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

For optics, the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Samsung GN9 primary sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, OIS, and 10x digital zoom and a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens with a 114-degree FOV. Up front, the Phone (2a) Plus opts for a new 50MP Samsung JN1 selfie camera.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Connectivity, Design

Connectivity options on the Nothing Phone 2a Plus include Wi-Fi 6 Direct, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, QZSS, a USB Type-C port, and more. The phone also packs dual stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint reader. It also features an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and water.

The Phone 2a Plus features Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front as well as the Glyph Interface on the back. The Glyph Interface here is similar to that on the Nothing Phone 2a, with the incorporation of the three LED lights surrounding the camera island.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus Pricing, Offers in India

The Nothing Phone 2a Plus price in India starts from Rs 27,999 for the base 8GB/256GB model. Moreover, the handset is also offered in a 12GB/256GB configuration that costs Rs 29,999. The Nothing Phone (2a)+ comes in Black and Grey color options.

Nothing is also offering a discount of Rs 2,000 on the Phone 2a Plus with cards from all major banks. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus will go on sale in India through Flipkart starting on August 7 at 12 noon IST.
